Maui artist Carla Gangini has been inspired by the island's beauty for over 30 years, she fell in love with oil painting about 12 years ago. Her goal is to capture and interpret the essence of Maui's landscapes, flowers, fruits and even its livestock for the viewer to enjoy everyday in their home.  The color pallet is an essential part of how she conveys the island's unique feeling. Carla paints on location around the island and also at her home studio in Wailuku.  Participating in classes and exhibits at the Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center has helped Carla grow and develop as an artist.
